Fun, Flared and Flirty

Listen when I tell y’all I have fallen in love with flare jeans I am in love sis!! When skinny jeans started coming out when I was in middle school you couldn’t pay me to wear anything else (unless my mama bought them I had no other choice sis was broke LOL). I vividly remember telling my mom, “Nobody wears bell bottoms anymore only skinny jeans.” Literally into high school, college, and most recently I only bought skinny or straight leg jeans.

I started to see more women rocking flare jeans and killing it. So of course I had to see what the hype was about! I ordered the black denim jeans I’m wearing from Fashion Nova and let me tell you honey when I put them on I was in love!

Except one small detail.

I ordered an 18W Plus and they fit perfectly in the hips and butt area, but the waist was way too big. This is something I’ve always had to deal with for my body type and can be frustrating for sure. But shouout to my Bigma!! Bigma to the rescue LOL my grandma is amazing and was able to tailor the waist in my jeans so they fit like a glove. Also helped me save some coins, because tailoring can get pricey!

I paired the jeans with a super cute, fun, and flirty red off the shoulder top. The top insinuated my waist and with the jeans I was looking slim thick LOL. Paired with simple gold and black jewelry, black heels, and clutch I felt secure. If you haven’t tried flare jeans aka old school bell bottoms get you a pair; you won’t ‘regret it!

Tip: Simple tailoring will make you feel relaxed and confident in your clothes. When you look good you feel good!
