Curves vs. Budget
Someone recently asked me is it expensive being a fashion blogger? My answer is yessss but it doesn’t always have to be lol. Can you guess where I got this jacket from in this picture? Sis I got it from Sam’s Club for $9.81!! You can definitely be stylish and save some coin! Today I’m sharing 5 tips to help you save:
1. Shop Your Closet
Listen 9 times out of 10 you have something you can wear in your closet we just be wanting to shop! I’m not calling anybody out because I am guilty as well. Also shopping your closet helps you mix and match pieces to create new looks. Consider an outfit you’ve already worn, but change the shoes or accessories to create something fun and new.
2. Buy Off-Season
The easiest way to buy off season is to shop for summer pieces in fall and winter pieces in spring. You will get a huge savings, because the items are not in demand during that particular season.
3. Discount Codes
Majority of the things you want to purchase there is a discount code out there you just have to do a little searching! The bloggers, influencers, and youtubers be out here giving you all the codes use them. Not only do the codes help you they also help us. Also try things like The Honey App to help you save as well.
4. Rent Clothes
There are a lot of great subscription and renting services that let you try pieces out and return them, or purchase at a cheaper rate. I love these personally because it helps you build up your wardrobe and expose you to items you may not have tried. Some helpful subscriptions services are Eloquii Unlimited, Fashion to Figure Closet, Rent the Runway, Gwynnie Bee, and Stitch Fix.
5. Buy Secondhand
Shopping someone else’s closet is a huge savings! Try apps like Poshmark, Depop, Asos Marketplace, Facebook Marketplace, ThredUp, and The RealReal to save. Check out my Poshmark closet at daviadominique!
Happy savings ladies! You can be stylish and not break the bank.
