Be Fearless. Be Bold.

I’ll do it when I lose more weight. There’s plenty of plus size bloggers/influencers. I don’t know how to model. I don’t know how to blog. I don’t have time. Before I had even begun this journey I had lost the battle in my head with negative self-talk.

I can vividly recall the first two things my youth pastor taught me. She said, “you will leave this church and be on your own but I always want you to remember these things.” Death and life are in the power of the tongue, God has not given us a spirit of fear, and be bold! She would have us recite these things at the beginning and ending of our Sunday classes. I had no idea the significance of what she was instilling in me until later.

This year I decided to put myself out there regardless of what I thought others would think. I pictured myself radiant and successful; I pictured myself bold and without fear. Once I believed in this image of myself there was literally no stopping me! Yes, I still get nervous, I still have those what if thoughts, but I’m transitioning my thoughts from fear to triumph. We live in a world with so much pressure to perform, to be perfect, and the fear of failure holds so many of us back from walking into our destiny. But babbbyyyy what if you go places and do things you’ve never done! What if your gifts change lives!

Even during this time I’ve thought, “maybe I won’t post pictures or slowdown on sharing content”. Listen sis y’all still about to get all the content.  Still posting pics, getting dressed, doing my make-up, and having mini photo-shoots in my room. Just because the world stopped doesn’t mean my dreams and aspirations will.

So yes today I speak that I am a plus-size model, content developer, and blogger so sit back and watch me glow! The words you say to yourself are the most important words you will hear.

Be Fearless. Be Bold. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
